Do Not Call Register

The Do Not Call Register is a secure database where individuals and organisations can register, check or remove their Australian telephone, mobile and fax numbers to opt out of receiving most unsolicited telemarketing calls and faxes.

Registration is free and you only need to do it once.

Once registered, a number will stay on the register indefinitely unless the number owner or their representative removes the number.

How does the Do Not Call Register work?

Australian telephone numbers used primarily for private and domestic purposes are eligible for registration on the Do Not Call Register.

These include fixed (or landline) numbers, mobile phone numbers, satellite numbers and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) numbers.

Registration is free and is permanent for any new and existing registrations.

Customers can register their numbers online at www.donotcall.gov.au, by calling 1300 792 958, by faxing 1300 793 514, or by mail.

Numbers take up to 30 days to appear on the register.

Registrations can also be removed at any time.

As agent if you have been provided a number that is not from our lead list the following steps must be taken before dialing the contact number:

  • Using DNC Wash on the portal, check if the number is registered on DNCR
  • if the number is not on DNCR you may proceed to manually dialing from your Team Leaders workstation [manual dialing can only be executed through Team Leaders access]
